Union vs League rugby ball

Rugby is a fast-growing sport which has amassed many fans over the years. As such, there has been an increase in the number of betting companies incorporating this sport in their sites. One such reliable website is the Betfair review which offers gamblers a chance to bet on their favorite rugby teams at good odds. It also provides a wide array of bets from which you can choose.

The growth of rugby as a sport is possible thanks to the many players in the industry such as the Rugby Union.

What is the union? (1871)

A lot of controversy surrounds how the game came to be, but most of the credit goes to William Webb who caught a ball during a soccer game and went on to run with it. Hence, people entertained the idea of such a sport, and soon rules came about regarding the same.

Following its popularity, the union got formed in the late nineteenth century and later split with the league going one way due to disagreements among the members.

The Union and the League

The union has its foundation on a fifteen man code while the league operates on a thirteen-a-side man code. Though rugby fans appreciate both game plays, there is an inclination towards a fifteen man play and this sport does well around the world as opposed to the league.

Make Money

If you love placing bets on games, you will enjoy the variety of wagers that you can have on rugby union games which range from points start to total match tries all the way to total match points. Many betting companies are looking for new ways in which gamblers can get to enjoy the game by introducing new wagers which are set to increase in the coming years.

Rugby has come a long way regarding popularity, and there is a lot of work required for it to reach the next level. However, as things stand at present, most of the foundation is already in place, and gamblers can get in on the action thanks to the growing rugby betting companies.

Match Reports for 11/9/04

September 9, 2004

Ollerton played hosts to NDL1 League favourites North Derbyshire and fell 10-31 in this close encounter which had North Derbyshire on the ropes for long periods before their elusive speedy backs took a hand to open up a sizable point’s difference that did not reflect the forward domination and territory that Ollerton had enjoyed.
