Ollerton Colts played Belper Colts and won
convincingly 68 - 7. This was a good game with Ollerton running the
show and scoring the tries. Despite Ollertons dominance Belper never
gave up and scored a great try of their own. Ollertons try
scorers were Oliver Fell with a hat trick, Lee Hempsall 2, Alex Berry
2, Rob Hible, Carl Storrs, and Scott Dalling plus a fantastic kicking
display from Dalling who converted 9 out of 10. Man of the Match went
to Grant Dixon. |
Ollerton Colts 26 - Mellish Colts 0
This was a tough game but played in great spirit with Ollertons all
round playing ability just having the edge on the day. Try scorers

kicking display from Scott Dalling scoring three out of four touchline
conversions. |
Ashfield 17 v Ollerton
34 (08-10-05)
An outstanding start for Ollerton , following on from their
magnificent performance against Lincoln last week. The forwards
took control early on in the game, resulting in first half tries for
Ben Wells ( 2) , Troy Blayden and Scott Dalling. The game became a
scrappy affair with Ollerton losing concentration and
allowing Ashfield back into the game with a well deserved try just
before half time.
Ashfield were rewarded with two further second half tries but Ollerton
raised themselves again with tries by Daniel Marrows and Lee Hempsall
and conversions by Scott Dalling put the result beyond doubt.
With some excellent tackling from several players but the tackle of
the game , which gave him the Man of the Match , was put in by Rob
Hible on the Ashfield No8 as he attacked down the blind side of the
scrum.

Ollerton
juniors second game of the season. |
The Ollerton under 12 side
played their second ever game against a Paviors Development side and came away having held
their own for long periods with a vastly improved performance from their last outing.
The game was split into three sessions with the first session ending with one try each and
the second session ending with Ollerton ahead two trys to one.
The introduction of a few key players in the last session tipped the results in Paviors
favour with some outstanding running rugby.
Ollerton did not drop their heads and some key tackles were made by Ollertons Craig
Brewer, Carl Storrs and Mark Dudley which helped keep the score down and which was helped
by some fine kicking from Alex Berry.
Paviors were also stretched at times by some fine running from Ollerton wingers Tom
Fletcher and Josh Richardson.
Ollerton try scorers Ben Wells, Dan Marrows (2) and Zack Coupe
The final result was Ollerton 4 trys to Paviors 7 trys.
Ollerton learned a lot from this game and can only go from strength to strength.

Ollerton
juniors first game of the season. |

Ollerton Junior team played their first game of the
season away at East Retford and despite losing put in an all round brilliant performance.
The referee was excellent, talking to the kids and pointing them in the right direction
when help was needed on the pitch. Heads never dropped and there were lots and lots of
smiles from the team who never gave up; indeed every player chased down the final
conversion of the game. Credit must go to everyone involved in the junior section and
getting the first game under their belt is a real achievement. We are looking for a
fixture on the 19th December so watch this space for details. There can never be enough
support for the team so when a date is finalised, try and leave that morning free and get
yourself along to support the kids. |
