First team: Ollerton vs Ashby

Final score 25-0

Ollerton were the visitors to a strong Ashby side who are currently sitting second in the league and despite some good defensive work, fell 25-0.

Ashby started the better, pressurising the Ollerton defence from the off with their rolling maul causing a lot of concern for Ollerton. The Ashby pressure was rewarded just after the five minute mark with a penalty easily within kicking distance, converted, 3-0
Some excellent defending by Ollerton kept Ashby out for long periods but a heated exchange midway through the first half saw several players involved with the end result being Ollerton down to 14 men for ten minutes. Ollerton were able to hold on thanks to some excellent tackling from prop Simon Lacey and Flanker James Hooper plus a sound defensive kicking display from fly half Chris Ford. The Ashby pressure finally told with Ollerton conceding a try in the dying minutes.
Half time 8-0
Ashby again started the better and within ten minutes had added another two tries and one conversion to their tally 20-0 Ollerton refused to give in and were able to apply their own pressure with short periods of play confined to Ashby's 22 but were unable to breach the Ashby defence. In the dying minutes of the match Ashby added another well worked, not converted, final score 25-0

Second Team: Ollerton vs Lincoln

Final score 112-0

Lincoln 2nds were the visitors to Ollerton 2nds, resulting in the biggest miss-match that has been seen this season. Final score 112-0

The signs were ominous right from the start with Lincoln crossing the line for their first try within two minutes of the start, converted 7-0.
Ollerton were again in trouble within a few minutes of the restart with Lincoln tying in the defence and then shipping the ball out wide to round the defence for their second that was also converted 14-0
Lincoln played some excellent rugby with the Ollerton scrum travelling backwards through long periods of the game and the Lincoln backs hitting the gaps at pace with plenty of support.
Half time score 64-0
The second half was a carbon copy of the first with Lincoln running in further tries against a dispirited Ollerton side.
Final Score 112-0
Apart from the obvious score line no team would have gained anything from this encounter. It only served to demoralise the young players of Ollerton who are still learning their trade and would have been no help to Lincoln at all in assessing their own team performance regarding further games against more appropriate opposition.

Third Team: Ollerton vs Lincoln

Final score 22-22

Ollerton travelled away to Lincoln and lead for long periods before coming away with a fair 22-22 draw.
Ollerton won the toss and opted to play with the wind.
The Ollerton forwards dominated the early exchanges and pressurised the Lincoln defence for long periods before scoring their first try through second row Mark Stayley, not converted 0-5
Ollerton maintained the pressure and were rewarded by further tries from both centres Phil Kerry and Errol Coleman.
Half time 0-15
In the second half the tables were turned with Lincoln making a few changes and running in four second half tries and one conversion with Ollerton failing to add to their tally 22-15 in the home sides favour.
With minutes remaining, Ollerton winger Nathan Kirk rounded the defence to score in the corner, converted by full back Jamie Price bringing the final score to 22-22 which was a fair result on the day.
